JERSEY CITY, NJ…The New Jersey City University baseball game between the Gothic Knights and #5/12 nationally ranked Kean University, scheduled for Friday, April 3 at 3:30 p.m., has been postponed due to rain. The New Jersey Athletic Conference contest has tentatively been rescheduled for Sunday, April 5 at 1 p.m. at Kean’s ‘Jim Hynes `62 Stadium’ in Union, NJ—but only if both NJCU and Kean are able to play their scheduled doubleheaders on Saturday, April 4. Otherwise, the game will be moved to Monday, April 6.

Meanwhile, both the NJCU softball and men’s volleyball teams have made scheduling changes. Softball has had the date of its non-conference doubleheader with FDU-Florham changed from Wednesday, April 15 to Thursday, April 16. The games will be played in Madison, NJ, beginning at 3 p.m.

The NJCU men’s volleyball team, which is expecting to have its season continue next weekend in the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III South Tournament, will play a tune-up match while putting its 20-14 record on the line, when the Gothic Knights travel to Mahwah, NJ on Wednesday, April 8 at 7 p.m. for a non-divisional match against NECVA Metro rival and #8 ranked Ramapo College. It will be NJCU’s first match since falling to nationally ranked Stevens Institute of Technology on March 23.
