'A-C Connection'
The 'A-C Connection' of Jennifer Albuja and Julia Caseres combined to score 191 career goals—the most by two teammates in NCAA history for any division or gender from 2007-11. Their 445 combined points are one shy of the all-time record, also set in 2011.
Lizzelle Cintron (NJAC Player of the Week)
Lizzelle Cintron (2004-07) was named the New Jersey Athletic Conference Player of the Week an incredible 20 times from 2005-07. She was a three-time NJAC Player of the Year.
First women's basketball player to score 30
The first NJCU women's basketball player to score 30 points in a game was Fran Ryan in a 64-17 win at FDU-Rutherford on March 11, 1971. She scored exactly 30, with 12 field goals.
Division III National Player of the Year
NJCU has had a player win four consecutive National Tenpin Coaches Association (NTCA) Division III National Player of the Year awards since it was first bestowed in 2006-07. Vicki Spratford won in 2007 and 2008, Amanda Small in 2009 and Nicole Drejerwski in 2010.
Women's Volleyball, 2005 Champions
When the NJCU Women's Volleyball team won the 2005 New Jersey Athletic Conference championship, they became the first Gothic Knight team to win an NJAC women's title.
Bowling, 4 Final Fours
The NJCU Women's Bowling teams has been to the National Collegiate Final Four four times in the first seven years of the championship's history. NJCU appeared in 2004, 2006, 2008 and 2010, finishing 3rd in 2004 and 2008. NJCU also was fifth in 2005 and 2009.
Miracle Win vs. Kean
On December 9, 1988, the Gothic Knight men's basketball team trailed Kean in Union, NJ, 43-12, yet rallied for a miraculous, 102-100 victory.
Women's bowling polls
The women's bowling team has been ranked in the Top 10 in all 31 NTCA Division I, II, III national polls ever conducted (as of December 2011). NJCU was ranked as high as No. 2 in the nation in 2005.

Current NJCU Athletics Director Alice De Fazio was a finalist for the 1980 Wade Trophy as the top player in women's collegiate basketball?
Amanda Cobb, Career Saves
Amanda Cobb of the women's soccer team (1997-2000) made 1,114 career saves. That was the most in NCAA history in any division or gender until surpassed in 2010 (1,127).

Lizzelle Cintron (2004-07) was named the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Player of the Week 14 times in her career.

Lizzelle Cintron (2004-07) was a 6-time AVCA Division III National Player of the Week. She finished her career with 2,894—fifth most of any player in Division I, II or III history.
Diana Lawson, NJAC Athlete of the Year
Hall-of-Famer Diana Lawson was voted the New Jersey Athletic Conference Female Athlete of the Year for all sports in 2003-04.
Men's Basketball NJAC titles
NJCU has won a record 12 New Jersey Athletic Conference championships in men's basketball. Rowan and William Paterson have won 10 each.
Brett Wyatt
Brett Wyatt (1975-79) owns NJCU's career men's and women's basketball records for points in a game (52), season (667), and career (2,292).
Darren Savino
Darren Savino, a member of NJCU's 1991-92 Final Four men's basketball team was hired as an assistant coach at the University of Cincinnati in 2010. He was also an assistant coach in the Big East conference for four years prior to that at Rutgers University.
Lizzelle Cintron, NJAC Athlete of the Year
Women's volleyball phenom Lizzelle Cintron was voted the New Jersey Athletic Conference Female Athlete of the Year for all sports in 2006-07.
Jerry Recco
Jerry Recco, the anchor of the Boomer and Carton morning show on WFAN-AM sports radio in New York City was the play-by-play announcer for NJCU basketball in 2002-03 and called the 400th career win by men's legend Charlie Brown. Recco is a 1998 graduate of NJCU.
Diana Lawson, 5-time champion
Hall-of-Famer Diana Lawson won five NCAA Division III national championships. She captured the indoor 55-meter dash in 2001, 2002 and 2004 and a double-gold in the 100 and 200-meter dashes in 2005.
Michael Morgan
Detective Michael J. Morgan, Jr. of the Newark (NJ) Police Department, who died on November 7, 2011 in a shooting, was a four-year member of the NJCU football team (1997-2000) as a linebacker and fullback. As a senior in 2000, when he was the lead blocker for a pair of First-Team All-NJAC running backs.
