NJCU MEN’S SOCCER TRYOUTS SLATED FOR AUGUST 20
JERSEY CITY, NJ (www.NJCUGothicKnights.com)...New Jersey City University will hold tryouts for the 2010 men's soccer team beginning on Friday, August 20 at 2 p.m. at the Thomas M. Gerrity Athletic Complex on Route 440. All student-athletes are required to have a physical conducted prior to the tryout.

CHARLIE AULETTO NAMED HEAD COACH OF NJCU MEN’S GOLF PROGRAM; TEAM TO BEGIN PLAY IN FALL 2010
JERSEY CITY, NJ (www.NJCUGothicKnights.com)...Charlie Auletto, current assistant baseball coach at New Jersey City University, has been appointed head coach of the Gothic Knight men's golf team. The program will begin play in Fall 2010 and its first schedule and roster will be announced in September.

NJCU SOFTBALL TO HOST INSTRUCTIONAL CLINIC, JULY 12-15
JERSEY CITY, NJ (www.NJCUGothicKnights.com)...New Jersey City University will host its third annual softball clinic from July 12-15 at the Thomas M. Gerrity Athletic Complex on Route 440 South in Jersey City. The program is designed to improve skills for players aged 8-17, in a fun setting for young athletes, with instruction by the NJCU coaching staff and players.

Men's Basketball NJAC titles
NJCU has won a record 11 New Jersey Athletic Conference championships in men's basketball. Rowan has won 10 and William Paterson 9.
Miracle Win vs. Kean
On December 9, 1988, the Gothic Knight men's basketball team trailed Kean in Union, NJ, 43-12, yet rallied for a miraculous, 102-100 victory.
Bowling, 4 Final Fours
The NJCU Women's Bowling teams has been to the National Collegiate Final Four four times in the first seven years of the championship's history. NJCU appeared in 2004, 2006, 2008 and 2010, finishing 3rd in 2004 and 2008. NJCU also was fifth in 2005 and 2009.
Alice De Fazio, Wade Trophy
Current NJCU Athletics Director Alice De Fazio was runner-up for the 1980 Wade Trophy as the top player in women's collegiate basketball?
Women's Volleyball, 2005 Champions

When the NJCU Women's Volleyball team won the 2005 New Jersey Athletic Conference championship, they became the first Gothic Knight team to win an NJAC women's title.

First women's basketball player to score 30

The first NJCU women's basketball player to score 30 points in a game was Fran Ryan in a 64-17 win at FDU-Rutherford on March 11, 1971. She scored exactly 30, with 12 field goals.
