KANSAS CITY, KS (www.NJCUGothicKnights.com)...Freshman keeper CATHERINE HENSLEY (Dripping Springs, TX/Dripping Springs) of the New Jersey City University women’s soccer team has recently been honored for her academic excellence as a high school player last spring in Texas. Her Dripping Springs Texas High School team has received the 2009 NSCAA High School Team Academic Award from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.

NEWARK, NJ (www.NJCUGothicKnights.com)...William Paterson University had the final 10 shots of the game, scoring twice in the final 7:51 of the second half, including the winner with just 33 seconds remaining as the Pioneers rallied to steal a 2-1 victory from New Jersey City University in an Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III Metro Semifinal contest played in the rain on Saturday night at New Jersey Institute of Technology’s Lubetkin Field.

JERSEY CITY, NJ (www.NJCUGothicKnights.com)...Sophomore forward JULIA CASERES (Union, NJ/Union) scored four times, including her 30th goal of the year, and broke New Jersey City University’s single-season scoring record with 73 points as NJCU, playing in the first post-season game in the history of the program crushed Mount Saint Mary College (NY), 7-2, in an Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III Metro Quarterfinal contest on Wednesday at the Robert L. McNulty Memorial Soccer Field.

Did You Know...
Bowling, 3 Final Fours
The NJCU Women's Bowling teams has been to the National Collegiate Final Four three times in the first six years of the championship's history. NJCU appeared in 2004, 2006, and 2008, finishing 3rd in 2004 and 2008. NJCU also was fifth in 2005 and 2009.
Men's Basketball NJAC titles
NJCU has won a record 11 New Jersey Athletic Conference championships in men's basketball. Rowan has won 10 and William Paterson 9.
Women's Volleyball, 2005 Champions

When the NJCU Women's Volleyball team won the 2005 New Jersey Athletic Conference championship, they became the first Gothic Knight team to win an NJAC women's title.
