EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ (www.NJCUGothicKnights.com)...New Jersey City University held its 2010 Commencement ceremonies on Wednesday, May 12 at the IZOD Center and among the 1,512 undergraduate and graduate students to receive their degrees were 29 former Gothic Knight student-athletes, including several who were among the best to ever play their sport at the University.

PITMAN, NJ (www.NJCUGothicKnights.com)...New Jersey City University sophomore forward EBONY CUNNINGHAM (East Orange, NJ/East Orange Campus) has been voted Honorable Mention All-New Jersey Athletic Conference for the 2009-10 season. A two-time NJAC Player of the Week and two-time ECAC Division III Metro Player of the Week selection, the award marks the first all-conference accolade of her career.

WAYNE, NJ (www.NJCUGothicKnights.com)...Nationally #7/8 ranked William Paterson University limited New Jersey City University to its second lowest scoring total of the season and eliminated the Gothic Knights from contention in the New Jersey Athletic Conference Tournament race as WPU defeated NJCU, 86-40, in an NJAC North Division game on Monday night at the Rec Center.

JERSEY CITY, NJ (www.NJCUGothicKnights.com)...New Jersey City University led for more than 30 minutes in their quest to qualify for the New Jersey Athletic Conference Tournament, and received an enormous double-double of 32 points and 17 rebounds from sophomore forward EBONY CUNNINGHAM (East Orange, NJ/East Orange Campus), but Ramapo College stayed alive in the playoff hunt by rallying to defeat NJCU, 71-66, in an NJAC North Division game at the John J. Moore Athletics and Fitness Center on “Coach Charlie Brown Court.”

Bowling, 4 Final Fours
The NJCU Women's Bowling teams has been to the National Collegiate Final Four four times in the first seven years of the championship's history. NJCU appeared in 2004, 2006, 2008 and 2010, finishing 3rd in 2004 and 2008. NJCU also was fifth in 2005 and 2009.
Women's Volleyball, 2005 Champions

When the NJCU Women's Volleyball team won the 2005 New Jersey Athletic Conference championship, they became the first Gothic Knight team to win an NJAC women's title.

Miracle Win vs. Kean
On December 9, 1988, the Gothic Knight men's basketball team trailed Kean in Union, NJ, 43-12, yet rallied for a miraculous, 102-100 victory.
First women's basketball player to score 30

The first NJCU women's basketball player to score 30 points in a game was Fran Ryan in a 64-17 win at FDU-Rutherford on March 11, 1971. She scored exactly 30, with 12 field goals.
