PENDING SNOW STORM FORCES CHANGES TO MEN’S VOLLEYBALL, WOMEN’S BOWLING, MEN’S/WOMEN’S TRACK AND FIELD SCHEDULES

JERSEY CITY, NJ (www.NJCUGothicKnights.com)...With a snow storm forecasted to bury the Mid Atlantic Region this weekend, four New Jersey City University athletic teams scheduled to compete in three different states, have had cancellations and postponements on their weekend schedules. The most notable change is the cancellation of the six-team, 16^th annual men’s volleyball Gothic Knight Invitational. Women’s bowling and men’s and women’s indoor track and field also have had postponements.

#11 RAMAPO DEFEATS NJCU, 30-28, 30-17, 30-25, DESPITE MATCH-HIGH 12 KILLS FROM AUSTIN BRYANT

MAHWAH, NJ (www.NJCUGothicKnights.com)...Sophomore opposite AUSTIN BRYANT (Virginia Beach, VA/Kempsville) delivered a match-best 12 kills and added three blocks, but it wasn’t enough as #11 ranked Ramapo College defeated New Jersey City University, 3-0 (30-28, 30-17, 30-25), in a North East Collegiate Volleyball Association Metro Division match on Wednesday night at the Bill Bradley Center.

DANNY KOCHANSKI’S 15-KILL OUTBURST NOT ENOUGH AS SUNY NEW PALTZ DEFEATS NJCU, 3-1 IN NECVA METRO OPENER

NEW PALTZ, NY (www.NJCUGothicKnights.com)...Sophomore DANNY KOCHANSKI (Bayonne, NJ/Bayonne) equaled a match-high with 15 kills and posted a .524 hitting percentage but SUNY New Paltz, featuring one of the tallest all-around starting lineups in Division III, used that advantage to hit .350 overall as a team and defeated New Jersey City University, 3-1 (30-20, 30-22, 24-30, 30-26) in the 2010 North East Collegiate Volleyball Association Metro Division opener for both schools, Friday night at the Hawk Center.
