Dr. Amy Rady Appointed Faculty Athletics Representative

JERSEY CITY, N.J. (NJCUGothicKnights.com) | Dr. Amy Meltzer Rady, the chairperson and an associate professor in New Jersey City University's Fitness, Exercise and Sports Department, has been appointed as NJCU's new NCAA Faculty Athletics Representative (FAR).
 
Alice De Fazio, upon making the appointment, said: "I am confident Dr. Rady will represent our institution and student-athletes in a most exemplary way, and will serve as a voice and liaison for our department on and off campus. I look forward to this collaboration."
 
Dr. Rady succeeds Mr. Juan Arroyo, assistant director of the NJCU Academic Career Planning & Placement office, who resigned from the position after nine years of service.
 
Dr. Rady is in her first year at NJCU and has immediately become actively involved on campus. She arrived in Summer 2015 from Saint Joseph's College of Maine where she was Associate Professor and Director of the Physical Education Teacher Education Department. Prior to that, she was Assistant Professor in the Department of Kinesiology at William Paterson University.
 
She is a member of the National Association of Sport & Physical Education, and has held a range of certifications throughout her career, including Former United States Gymnastics Federation Judge.
 
She holds an Ed.D. in Physical Education from the University of Georgia.
