| New Jersey City University won its first match as a women's bowling-only member of the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference but finished fifth of five teams in the standings at the AMCC Round Robin #2 on January 16 and 17, hosted by Penn State Altoona at the Holiday Bowl.
 
NJCU (4-31, 1-15 AMCC), competing in its second weekend event as a first-year member of the conference, finished 1-7 on the weekend. All four matches on January 16 were in the five-person traditional team game format before facing the same schools on January 17 in the 5-Game Baker Total Pinfall format.
 
After losing its first 10 matches since joining the AMCC as an affiliate member—eight in the first conference meet and the first two on January 16, the Gothic Knights finally won a league match, squeaking by Pitt-Bradford, 680-664. NJCU lost its next five matches, including a pair of close Baker matches to Pitt-Bradford and Medaille on day two.
 
Freshman anchor and captain Autumn Fortunato (Staten Island, NY/Tottenville) was NJCU's top individual finisher, placing 12th of 28 bowlers with a four-game average of 144.75 and 579 total pinfall with a high game of 159 against Medaille. Junior Melissa Nolan (Jersey City, NJ/County Prep) was 15th with 555 total wood (138.75 average) and a high of 158 in the win over Pitt-Bradford.
 
Sophomore Rachel McIntyre (Drexel Hill, PA/Upper Darby), the Sports Editor of NJCU's student newspaper, The Gothic Times, and a two-year setter on NJCU's women's volleyball team, posted NJCU's highest game of the traditional segment of the competition with a 171 in the win over Pitt-Bradford.
 
Mount Aloysius College led the weekend going 7-1 while host Penn State-Altoona was 6-2.

In two weeks NJCU returns to the Holiday Bowl in Altoona, Pa. when it competes in the Red Flash Invitational, hosted by Saint Francis University. The dates of competition are Friday, January 29 through Sunday, January 31 and will include six traditional, six 5-Game Baker Total Pinfall and three best 4-of-7 Baker series matches.
