SPRINGFIELD, MA…Senior five-time All-American
EBONY BARNES (Elizabeth, NJ/Elizabeth) concluded her brilliant four-year outdoor track and field career on May 14 and 15 at the 2009 Eastern College Athletic Conference Division III Championship at Springfield College's Blake Track in Springfield, MA.
Barnes, a three-time All-American in the 100-meter dash from 2006-08, had qualified for the ECACs in 2009. However, battling a leg injury that hampered much of her senior campaign, she could not qualify for a fourth straight NCAA Championship, timing 13.57 seconds in the ECAC 100 preliminaries.
Barnes was the lone NJCU represent of the women's outdoor track and field team to compete at the ECACs.
