PITMAN, NJ…New Jersey City University sophomore MARC ROBINSON (Maplewood, NJ/St. Benedict’s Prep) has been named the New Jersey Athletic Conference Men’s Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week for week eight of the 2009 season. It marks the second time in his outdoor career he has been named the NJAC’s top track athlete.
 
On May 9 at the 2009 NYC Qualifying Challenge at Icahn Stadium on Randall’s Island, Robinson provisionally qualified for the NCAA Men’s Outdoor Track and Field Championship in the 200-meter dash, placing sixth overall among 14 in the finals in 21.70 seconds, surpassing the NCAA standard of 21.80. It is the 21st fastest time in Division III this year. He also was 10th of 52 in the preliminaries in 22.05 seconds.
 
Robinson last earned the award on March 31, 2008 during week two of his rookie season. He also was a past NJAC Rookie of the Week on May 19, 2008.

The NJCU Women's Bowling teams has been to the National Collegiate Final Four three times in the first six years of the championship's history. NJCU appeared in 2004, 2006, and 2008, finishing 3rd in 2004 and 2008. NJCU also was fifth in 2005 and 2009.
Men's Basketball NJAC titles
NJCU has won a record 11 New Jersey Athletic Conference championships in men's basketball. Rowan has won 10 and William Paterson 9.

Current NJCU Athletics Director Alice De Fazio was runner-up for the 1980 Wade Trophy as the top player in women's collegiate basketball?
Women's Volleyball, 2005 Champions

When the NJCU Women's Volleyball team won the 2005 New Jersey Athletic Conference championship, they became the first Gothic Knight team to win an NJAC women's title.
