PHILADELPHIA, PA…
The New Jersey City University women's outdoor track and field team tested itself against the most difficult competition in collegiate track and field on Thursday evening, competing in the 4x400-meter relay at the 115th Penn Relays, hosted by the University of Pennsylvania at Franklin Field. The three-day pinnacle of track runs from April 23-25.

The tandem of freshman DESERIA SANDERS (Lakewood, NJ/Long Branch), senior five-time All-American EBONY BARNES (Elizabeth, NJ/Elizabeth), freshman MELLISA GOODWIN (Howell, NJ/Howell) and junior CANDICE BELLAMY (Maplewood, NJ/Columbia) timed 4:22.74 overall. NJCU placed 82nd overall in the field, which consisted largely of Division I competition. The Gothic Knights were fifth in heat 10.
