JERSEY CITY, NJ (www.NJCUGothicKnights.com)...The New Jersey City University athletics department and the NJCU Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) are currently participating in the New Jersey Athletic Conference's “Cans Across the Conference” program, and there is still time for members of the NJCU Community to donate canned goods and other non-perishable items.
Donations will be accepted in a collection site in the lobby of the John J. Moore Athletics and Fitness Center up until Thanksgiving as part of a friendly competition between NJAC institutions to benefit local food banks during the holiday season. The winning school will be presented a plaque in December for their efforts.
Fans attending NJCU's basketball doubleheader on Tuesday, November 24 are encouraged to bring an item to the game in support of the Thanksgiving Food Drive initiative.
