JERSEY CITY, NJ (www.NJCUGothicKnights.com)...New Jersey City University will host its third annual softball clinic from July 12-15 at the Thomas M. Gerrity Athletic Complex on Route 440 South in Jersey City. The program is designed to improve skills for players aged 8-17, in a fun setting for young athletes, with instruction by the NJCU coaching staff and players.

EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ (www.NJCUGothicKnights.com)...New Jersey City University held its 2010 Commencement ceremonies on Wednesday, May 12 at the IZOD Center and among the 1,512 undergraduate and graduate students to receive their degrees were 29 former Gothic Knight student-athletes, including several who were among the best to ever play their sport at the University.

PITMAN, NJ (www.NJCUGothicKnights.com)...New Jersey City University freshman third baseman REBECCA SATZ (Morris Plains, NJ/Morristown) has been voted as the 2010 New Jersey Athletic Conference Rookie of the Year and selected First-Team All-NJAC at third base in voting by the league's 10 head coaches announced on May 6. Satz, a two-time NJAC Rookie Hitter of the Week, is the first player in NJCU history to be named the league's Rookie of the Year.

EWING, NJ (www.NJCUGothicKnights.com)...Senior left fielder and right-handed pitcher TARA PERRUCCI (East Rutherford, NJ/Wallington) had a hit in each game for New Jersey City University, but #7 ranked The College of New Jersey won the 2010 New Jersey Athletic Conference regular season championship by sweeping an NJAC doubleheader from the Gothic Knights, 9-1 in five innings and 11-1, also in five, on May 1 at Lions' Park.

Bowling, 4 Final Fours
The NJCU Women's Bowling teams has been to the National Collegiate Final Four four times in the first seven years of the championship's history. NJCU appeared in 2004, 2006, 2008 and 2010, finishing 3rd in 2004 and 2008. NJCU also was fifth in 2005 and 2009.
Alice De Fazio, Wade Trophy
Current NJCU Athletics Director Alice De Fazio was runner-up for the 1980 Wade Trophy as the top player in women's collegiate basketball?
Women's Volleyball, 2005 Champions

When the NJCU Women's Volleyball team won the 2005 New Jersey Athletic Conference championship, they became the first Gothic Knight team to win an NJAC women's title.

Men's Basketball NJAC titles
NJCU has won a record 11 New Jersey Athletic Conference championships in men's basketball. Rowan has won 10 and William Paterson 9.
Miracle Win vs. Kean
On December 9, 1988, the Gothic Knight men's basketball team trailed Kean in Union, NJ, 43-12, yet rallied for a miraculous, 102-100 victory.
