PITMAN, NJ…New Jersey City University sophomore second baseman DANIELLE DELFINO (Jersey City, NJ/County Prep) has been named to the 2009 New Jersey Athletic Conference All-Conference Team for the second consecutive year. Delfino, who was named Second-Team All-NJAC as an at-large selection, also earned All-NJAC honors as a freshman in 2008.

JERSEY CITY, NJ…It truly was a Senior Day to remember. New Jersey City University defeated the defending New Jersey Athletic Conference champions, Montclair State University, 3-2, scoring the game-winning run in the top of the seventh inning in game two, as NJCU ended the 2009 season with a 3-2 victory over Montclair in an NJAC doubleheader at the Thomas M. Gerrity Athletic Complex. MSU won the opening game, 2-0.

JERSEY CITY, NJ…For the second consecutive season, New Jersey City University senior right-hander ANDREA DELUCREZIA (Belleville, NJ/St. Mary’s-Rutherford) tossed a four-hitter against The College of New Jersey, but the Gothic Knights lost in a pitcher’s duel. TCNJ sophomore righty Alex Sietsma (Glen Rock, NJ/Glen Rock) took a perfect game into the seventh inning before giving up a single and a walk, and freshman righty Lauren Fitzsimmons (Bridgewater, NJ/Bridgewater-Raritan) came on to record her first career save as the Lions edged NJCU, 2-0 in game two of a New Jersey Athletic Conference softball doubleheader at the Thomas M. Gerrity Athletic Complex. The Lions won the opener, 8-1.

Women's Volleyball, 2005 Champions

When the NJCU Women's Volleyball team won the 2005 New Jersey Athletic Conference championship, they became the first Gothic Knight team to win an NJAC women's title.

Bowling, 3 Final Fours
The NJCU Women's Bowling teams has been to the National Collegiate Final Four three times in the first six years of the championship's history. NJCU appeared in 2004, 2006, and 2008, finishing 3rd in 2004 and 2008. NJCU also was fifth in 2005 and 2009.
Men's Basketball NJAC titles
NJCU has won a record 11 New Jersey Athletic Conference championships in men's basketball. Rowan has won 10 and William Paterson 9.
