JERSEY CITY, NJ (www.NJCUGothicKnights.com)...Five different players netted a goal as New Jersey City University outshot the City College of New York, 22-5 and opened the 52nd season of men's soccer at the University with a convincing 5-0 shutout on Wednesday afternoon at the Robert L. McNulty Memorial Soccer Field. NJCU and CCNY each had 21 players see action in a game played on a hot, sunny afternoon with temperatures in the mid 90s.

JERSEY CITY, NJ (www.NJCUGothicKnights.com)...In his first season as acting head coach of the New Jersey City University men's soccer program, NANSHA KALONJI led a young Gothic Knight squad to several notable victories, including an upset of then #3 ranked Montclair State University, and an appearance on ESPN's Top Plays. Kalonji will have the opportunity to guide NJCU to even more future success after being appointed head men's soccer coach in a full-time role following a search to fill the position.

Gerrity Athletic Complex on Route 440. All student-athletes are required to have a physical conducted prior to the tryout.

EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ (www.NJCUGothicKnights.com)...New Jersey City University held its 2010 Commencement ceremonies on Wednesday, May 12 at the IZOD Center and among the 1,512 undergraduate and graduate students to receive their degrees were 29 former Gothic Knight student-athletes, including several who were among the best to ever play their sport at the University.
